(Web Desk) The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the prize money for the Test Championship 2023-2021. A total of 3.8 million dollars will be distributed among nine teams.
According to the statement issued by the International Cricket Council ICC on Friday, the winning team of the finals starting from June 7 at The winner team will receive 1.6 million dollars, while the runners-up will be given 8 million dollars.
The final of the World Test Championship between Australia and India will begin on June 7, 2023.
According to the ICC, the third-placed South African team in the World Test Championship will receive 450,000 dollars, the fourth-placed England will receive 350,000 dollars, the fifth-placed Sri Lanka.
In the Test Championship, New Zealand at the sixth position, Pakistan at the seventh position, West Indies at the eighth position and Bangladesh at the ninth position will get one hundred thousand dollars.
It should be noted that the ICC had started the Test Championship in 2019, in which India and New Zealand will play at Lord's in 2021 based on the Test series played between different teams over a period of two years.
New Zealand won the Test Championship by winning this match. During the second cycle of the Test Championship i.e. 2023-2021, Pakistan's performance in Test matches was also disappointing.
Australia defeated Pakistan 1-0 in the three-Test series last year.
On the other hand, England had a clean sweep in the series of three Test matches with Pakistan in the series played last year.
